LECTURE: Curator Oscar Roldán

Although Débora Arango’s art is well regarded today in her native Colombia, she had to fight against the conservative elite’s prejudice throughout her life. Arango died in 2005 at the age of 98, and now her paintings constitute an important site of collective memory. The organizing curator Oscar Roldán will discuss her work in Spanish with English translation.
