Celebrating Con A de Arte (A is for Art), Afro-Cuban Rhythms and Performing Artists, and Local African American and Latin American Visual Artists!

Special Tributes to:  Salsa Bands, Jose James and Pharrell Williams’ “Happy”

Dance lesson at 8:30 pm

Salsa: a Latin dance form with origins from Cuban Son (sound) and Afro-Cuban dance (specifically Afro-Cuban rumba)

Bachata and Merengue:  genres of music that originated in the Dominican Republic and spread to other parts of Latin America, Europe, and the Caribbean.

Music and Dance: a great way to bring together various cultures from North and South Carolina who love to dance, including ballroom and dance schools, clubs, and fitness programs!!
Celebrate: our global community and the art of movement

D.J. Pepito is one of the hottest DJs in Charlotte of salsa, mambo, cha-cha, merengue, and bachata:

*This is a collaboration with ArtSí Charlotte, a community initiative supporting Latino Arts; Charlotte Latin Dance, sharing a passion for dance and self-expression; and Rumbao Latin Dance Company, explosive creative dance that energizes.

Enjoy this time of diversity, culture and art with people who want to move with DJ and live Afro-Cuban and Latin-influenced rhythms to salsa, Bachata, merengue, and cha cha, as well as view visual art by diverse local artists.  (Light snacks with cash bar.)
