Four Charlotte area writers share their delectable poems and stories that are inspired by memories of kitchens and food. Andrea Cooper is a freelance journalist whose credits include Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, Salon, Saveur, Utne Reader and Elle. Kali Ferguson is a storyteller, poet and teaching artist who has created programs for the Charlotte Symphony, UNCC, Durham Arts Council, and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. Rebecca McClanahan is the author of ten published books of nonfiction, essays, and poetry, and teaches in the MFA program at Queens University. Dannye Romine Powell was book editor at the Charlotte Observer for 17 years, and her poems have appeared in the Paris Review, Prairie Schooner, and the Georgia Review.
