Celebrate Mint 2 Move’s 10th Anniversary and Día de las Velitas (Little Candles Day) with us! This popular community Mint program boasts millions of dance steps over the past 10 years, promoting health and wellness.
Día de las Velitas is a Colombia, South America holiday that marks the beginning of Christmas. Mint 2 Move expands it to emphasize the universality of “commUNITY” and family.
Enjoy sizzling salsa, cha cha, bachata, line dancing, live painting, musicians, and DJ Carlos Lebron playing Latin rhythms and Afro-beats, plus free dance lessons that include merengue, salsa, and bachata with Rumbao Latin Dance Company and MamboSol Society. Complimentary snacks, party favors, and a cash bar with non-alcoholic beverages are included. Galleries are open till 9 pm.
Mint 2 Move is not just a dance party. It is an artistic and cultural experience paying tribute to artists and dance forms from Latin and African countries and the Caribbean islands.
Community partners include Rumbao Latin Dance Company, MamboSol Society, Comité de Fiestas Patrias y Tradiciones de Charlotte, Latin American Chamber of Commerce, Carolinas LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce, and the UNCC Department of Dance.
